Paid Leave

While I know our mayor has taken an early Christmas vacation, we here at All Fired Up in the Big Smoke certainly haven’t. We’re just over at Torontoist today, writing about The Mysterious Case Of The Disappearing Environmental Assessment. Our first crack at the hard boiled detective genre.

Finding out who ordered the EA shelved may turn out to be as difficult as finding out who paid for the Ford Bros Waterfront extravaganza – also an unsolved mystery. Keep in mind that city staff never do or don’t do anything unless they’re told, and yes, that includes the bureaucrats who are bonusable on the budget monies they don’t spend.
