What a bunch of Lunkheads. I got it. Kids have been playing road hockey in TO forever. Civilly disobedient little buggars. Everybody knows “Car!” and “Play in”. Hell Mike Myers did a skit on it and I seem to recall it being included in a Wayne’s World outing. I just laughed at Matlow’s, shall we call it, grandstanding. Or shall we call it a Hero search? Which backfired royally and for which, he will pay for years to come.
That Autoshare thing pisses me off. I have gotten tickets twice while respecting an autoshare spot. I will still respect it because I can hardly wait til I don’t need a car for work. Try carting a parties worth of food around on a bus.
Lastly, did I miss something? How do we benefit from tolls paid to the Spanish company who owns the 407? By the way, I have driven the 407 since the day it opened. It is now damn near as heavily travelled as the 401 during rush hours and full of the trucks who can’t stand the 401 anymore. Building more highways just seems to encourage people to buy more cars.
